Get to know me: Lauren Graham

18. 07. 2023

We’re pleased to introduce our newest member of the team, Lauren Graham! Lauren has been with Clearbox for one month now, so we thought it was about time you all got to know her a bit more. Take it away, Lauren.

Hello everyone. My name is Lauren, I am 23 years old, and I have recently joined the Clearbox team as a junior account executive.

I graduated from Queen’s University in 2021 with a degree in English with Creative Writing and spent the following two years interning with Agapé UK. I loved this experience and will always value all that I learned from my time with the Belfast student team.

Around Christmas time, however, I was starting to get a bit restless. I wanted to learn something new and put the skills I developed in my degree, namely writing, to good use. A friend told me about Clearbox’s graduate programme, and long story short – here I am! It’s only been a month since I joined, but I am having an absolute blast.

Some other things you might want to know about me – I grew up in Kilkeel, the capital of the Mournes, so I love a good trek in the mountains. Big fan of a flat white (@neighbourhoodcafe), a sea swim and a wee trip to London at the weekend. Strangely addicted to watching planes and checking where they’re going on the FlightRadar app.

In my free time, you will find me reading and occasionally posting about the books I read on Instagram @laurenreviewsbooks. I have an unjustified emotional attachment to my dying 2006 Volkswagen Golf, Rory, and will often drive somewhere just to sit in my car and read.

My favourite book of this year so far is A Little Life by Hanya Yanigahara, but if you’re thinking of reading it, heed my warning: the darkest and most haunting book I will probably ever read. But if you’re into that sort of thing, you will eat it up.

I love writing, and my dream is to someday publish a novel (at this rate, though, I’ll be about 90 before I finish my first draft). I love my friends and family, and have found a great community in my church, who I love like family. I’m an enneagram 4 and an INFP-T on the Myers’ Briggs (if that means anything to you). I enjoy going out for brunch with my friends, spending weekends at home with my family and taking my two cavachons for walks in the Silent Valley. I took up running during lockdown and to my detriment have started training for the Belfast half-marathon in September – send help.

I am excited to get stuck in and learn as much as I can about the PR industry. I couldn’t be happier to be starting my career at such a cool company with such a fun team dynamic.
