Page McLaughlin and Chloe McLaurin pucker up for a 'zelfie' as The Jungle Outdoor Adventure Centre opens registration for the annual 5k Zombie Run in aid of Autism NI. More information about the run and how to register can be found on thejungleni.com
Brave souls across the country are preparing to lace up their running shoes and take part in the country's most fiendish 5k obstacle trail in aid of Autism NI.
Hosted by The Jungle Outdoor Adventure Centre in Magherafelt, the charity zombie run will take place on Sunday 11th October and will challenge participants to complete a daring 5k obstacle trail while being chased by blood thirsty zombies.
Each mortal will start the race with three lives and will be given the task of completing the zombie infested obstacle course with all lives intact. Participants will have to dodge, duck and dive their way through mud traps, past paint balling zombies and across army crawl nets to get to the finish line.
Ahead of the charity event, The Jungle's hungry zombies will be invading towns across Northern Ireland on the following dates to recruit willing participants for the terrifically twisted run:
Sat 12th – Bangor & Lisburn
Sun 13th – Carrick & Antrim
Sat 19th – Derry & Maghera
Sun 20th – Larne & Ballymena
Sat 26th – Belfast & Magherafelt
Sun 27th – Dungannon & Cookstown
Owner of The Jungle Adventure Centre, Robert Carmichael explained: “This is the XX year we will have hosted the legendary Zombie Run which seems to increase in popularity each year. Runners have to face hills, mud, obstacles, water…and of course zombies! It's the perfect event to kick start our programme of Halloween events which includes our renowned Fright Nights throughout October.”
“This year, we want the Zombie Run to be bigger and scarier than ever so we're sending our zombies out onto the streets of Northern Ireland every weekend in September to recruit 'fresh blood.' Those who spot the Jungle zombies are being encouraged to snap a selfie using the hashtag #thejunglefrightnight2015 for a chance to win access all areas tickets to the Fright Night.”
Registration for the event is now open via thejungleni.com and costs £x per person. All proceeds will go to Autism NI.
