We’re excited to create two new manager roles on our team for 2024 – a client manager (up to £45k), and a community engagement manager (up to £35k).

The client manager position will suit someone currently in an account management role in a PR agency and will involve directly managing relationships with clients including Amazon, Deliveroo, Morelli’s Ice Cream, Oatly and Sky.

The community engagement manager position will suit someone who is data-driven and highly detailed with a passion for supporting community causes in the UK, Ireland and across Europe. This role focuses on managing Amazon’s Community Engagement teams in the UK and Ireland while also supporting on disaster relief programmes in Europe and beyond.

The work for this role focuses on charity vetting, coordinating large volumes of donations and volunteering activity, managing a number of mailboxes and filtering and directing requests for support to appropriate teams and stakeholders. An understanding of how charities and the Charity Commission work is essential and experience of community engagement programmes and the tech that powers them (Smartsheet, for example) is desirable.

The roles are based at our Belfast office and are full-time, permanent positions. The roles come with Clearbox’s award-winning range of benefits, which include:

- Unlimited annual leave

- Health insurance

- Health cash plan

- Life insurance

- A big fridge in the office filled with all sorts of Coca Cola goodies (our team LOVES this one, weirdly)

- The chance to cuddle our office dog (TBH, you won’t have a choice, she’s an attention seeker)

- Five work from abroad days in your contract (London, Berlin and Porto are some of the places we’ve worked from this year)

+ loads more stuff, but they’re the best bits!

What’s a manager position at Clearbox like? Here are a few words from two of our current managers:

“As a manager at Clearbox you’ll have in-depth understanding of the work of your clients and how the Clearbox team operates to bring them success. You’ll get to know each member of the Clearbox team well, and use each of their unique skills and enthusiasms to keep things moving and create brilliant campaigns.

“You’ll be self-motivated and be able to prioritise. You’ll be a coach, not a micro-manager. And you’ll want the best for your clients and our team. If you can keep up with a lot of moving parts with a smile on your face and a level head, you’ll be fine.” Amy Winter, Communications Manager.

“Being a manager at Clearbox is all about being proactive, pushing until the job is done, being focused, making sure you’re on top of all the small details. You’ll lead by example, making sure your team knows the standards and what’s required of them by displaying this yourself.

“It’s about making decisions, being confident in your decision-making skills and not sitting on the fence or dilly-dallying. You need to know your priorities - a massive part of our job is learning which fire to put out first; being one-step ahead. You’ll move at a fast pace and part of that is thinking ‘what’s the next move’ so you can guide your team to success.” Alex Symington, Senior Client Manager.
