×It’s no secret that one of the first across-the-desk conversations in the morning is lunch. Despite the fact it’s barely 9am, it’s crucial to know who was organised enough to bring food in and more importantly, who is coming out for lunch with you...
When lunch is ‘forgotten’, Team Clearbox loves exploring new places to eat. From cosy cafes to vibrant markets, here are our favourite spots to grab a bite.
Alex's Pick: Cafe Harlem on Bedford Street
"My fav for lunch is Cafe Harlem on Bedford Street. It’s got a cool vibe; I love the interior and the food is great! Plus, the staff are super friendly and attentive."
Cafe Harlem has won Alex over with its stylish decor and inviting atmosphere. The menu is endless, and dishes are consistently tasty, making it a perfect spot for a mid-day break.
Lauren's Pick: Seed on Lisburn Road
"Big fan of Seed on the Lisburn Road. The satay bowl is absolutely perfect when you want a takeaway that doesn't leave you in a food coma."
Lauren's go-to is Seed, known for its healthy and flavourful offerings. The satay bowl is a winner, perfectly satisfying without the post-lunch slump we know all too well. For anyone looking for a wholesome and tasty takeaway, Seed is the place to be.
Ella's Pick: Trademarket
"I love a good trip to Trademarket (please don't close). Pi Guy pizza is 10/10 and Baps is GOATED. The staff are so lovely, passionate about what they do, and all make AMAZING scran."
Ella is a big fan of the vibrant Trademarket, a food market that offers a variety of options – perfect for going with a picky person or an indecisive group! Her top choices are Pi Guy pizza and Baps, both highly rated.
John's Pick: Sawers
"Walking through those doors is like being transported to a different world. Think the Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe of food. Narnia has nothing on this place, it’s wild. Every Italian dish you could ever wish for, and the sandwiches are so big, they could be used as doorstops. Don’t leave without buying a jar of the sweet chilli jam. It’s turned a cheese hater (me) into someone who is partial to a slice of cheese with a tablespoon of said jam."
Well, we couldn’t possibly argue with that! If you’ve ever been to Sawers you’ll know it is indeed a culinary wonderland.
These spots are more than just places to eat, they're experiences the team loves. They provide a break away from our busy days. If you're in the area, we highly recommend checking them out!
