If you didn’t know, this week is Belfast Restaurant week, a week-long celebration of Belfast's food and drink scene featuring a variety of events and experiences at participating restaurants.

It’s no secret the Clearbox team is a fan of a good plate of food. We’ve been known to enjoy a lunchtime jaunt to Trademarket (RIP) or a post-work pint and picky bits. What better way to celebrate this week than highlighting some of our favourite spots?

First up is sangria enthusiast and social media manager, Hannah:

2Taps Winebar. It has the perfect warm atmosphere (even on a winters night seated outside), delicious tapas, and excellent wine selection - if you’ve never tried their prosecco Sangria, it is a must on your next visit. It’s the perfect spot for a relaxing with your pals and sharing some picky bits - my fave.”

Senior account executive Ella’s favourite is the very aesthetic Waterman House, situated in Cathedral Quarter. Ella says:

“Waterman House. Very yummy food and the orange wine is life changing. Service is 10/10 which is hard to find right now, plus you're in the heart of Cathedral for a tasty post-dinner pint.”

Account executive and carbonara connoisseur, Zoe, is a die-hard Villa Italia fan. She says:

“My favourite has to be Villa Italia. If I could eat their carbonara every day, I would. Also, big shoutout to the garlic bread supreme starter.”

Divisional director Alex is a Taylor and Clay lover:

“Taylor and Clay. Meat: good, wine: good, vibe: good. Cannot fault them. Plus, they are consistently good, which makes every visit first class.”

Senior account executive Megan is a fan of La Taqueria, which has two locations across South Belfast and the city centre. Megan adds:

“La Taqueria for me. Great vibes all round! Their pork and beef tacos are a MUST try! More importantly, 10/10 margaritas in all forms, classic, Tommy, frozen or coconut.”

Alana, senior account executive and margarita lover, raves about Edo. The restaurant boasts a contemporary European dining experience in the heart of Belfast. Alana says:

“The only issue I ever have at Edo is I want to eat the whole menu. Great margaritas, even better food and always looking forward to my next visit.”

Director John is a fan of a burger from Pablo’s – classic comfort food. He says:

“Pablo’s for me – some of the best burgers in the city with a laid-back vibe. Not a sweet chilli sauce topped chip in sight. What’s not to love!”

Junior account executive Mark is also a fan of a burger, but claims Bunsen is the best:

“Bunsen for me – simply burgers and fries but there's nothing wrong with that. Their burgers have to be the best in Belfast!”

Account executive Lauren is a fan of a Sunday roast:

Darcy’s – which is beside Lavery’s if you didn’t know – is incredible. I’ve never had a bad meal there, and it’s my go-to when I need a Sunday roast. The vibe is very authentic, and the service is always incredible.”

There you have it; these are our favourite restaurants in Belfast. Let us know where we should try next!
