The Clearbox Weekly - 28th Feb 2014

28. 02. 2014

It's Friday, the weekend is almost upon us, so what better way to celebrate than by telling you all what we've been up to this week?Every Friday, we round up the week that was. From cool projects we're working on to stuff we've seen and loved, welcome to the new Clearbox Weekly…enjoy!Clearbox stuffThe search is on…We're about to embark on a global launch campaign for a very exciting product - more details to come soon on that - but in the meantime, we have a work experience opportunity for a bright young PR mind to join our team.If you're a PR student, graduate or you just fancy getting some experience in the industry, then send your CV to by Friday 7th March & we'll be in touch.Other stuffA sacked English TV anchor, a Premier League football club, the world's biggest band and a new phone tickled our fancy this week…Poor Piers Morgan - not a good week for the Mirror editor-turned US TV anchor. His primetime show was cancelled in the States, which resulted in this very clever (if a bit cheeky) twitter post from football news, Chelsea announced a partnership with The Simpsons for the likes of Homer and Bart to don the club's merchandise. The Blues are off to Springfield…Mobile World Congress took place in Barcelona, where the world's leading phone companies (minus Apple, of course) lined up to showcase their new products. Like everyone else, we're quite excited by the Samsung Galaxy S5.We were also slightly amused by reports that guests at the show had been using the device's new fingerprint reader to lock the demo models so nobody else could use them…Finally, some of the Clearbox team were beside themselves when (probably) the greatest band in the world, Oasis, posted a cryptic message across its social networks about an impending announcement. The announcement turned out to be a re-release of the band's first three albums during 2014, so hopes of a re-union are dashed for now…
