Today sees the release of Warcraft: The Beginning in Irish cinemas as Universal Pictures Ireland and Legendary launch the highly anticipated film adaptation of Blizzard Entertainment's global phenomenon, World of Warcraft.
When Blizzard Entertainment released World of Warcraft on 23rd November 2004, a whole new online phenomenon was born. Over 100 million people from across 240 countries across the globe have played the fantasy game in its lifetime, making it the highest grossing video game ever.
To celebrate the film's arrival in Ireland (and to find out a bit more about the allure of Warcraft) we invited fans of the game to come along to Dublin's Temple Bar to create a piece of fan art. With help from Dublin Street Artist, Solus Art, our gamers provided Dubliners with a glimpse into the peaceful realm of Azeroth which is standing on the brink of war.
