Megan McCullough is Clearbox’s newest recruit, joining the team earlier this month as a Senior Account Executive. She’s a sucker for a sweet treat, a country music fan and is always up for the ‘craic’. Sounds good to us! Let’s find out more…

What did you do before Clearbox?

My degree in Marketing from University of Ulster made me realise I had a passion for the social media and communication aspects of Marketing. This led to an exciting placement year working at the Walt Disney Company based in London, it was here that I first moved to London, but this was during Covid meaning I didn’t get to experience it in its full light so I realised I needed to go back at an easier time. After graduating, true to my word, I moved back to London, where I began working in a PR and Marketing agency, here I worked as their Account/Influencer executive for 18 months, working across a range of FMCG and tech clients including Campari, Aperol, Motorola and Lenovo.

Why did you join Clearbox?

Having moved more towards PR within the London agency role, I knew PR combined with social media was something I wanted to stay in, however the big city life wasn’t for me anymore. After deciding a move back to Belfast was the next step, I focused on finding an agency which aligned with my values, career goals and had the ‘craic’ factor, then up came Clearbox who matched perfectly. I was also instantly drawn to their client roster, and the range of industries these operated across, which now being here, I am very excited to get stuck into!

What is your dream Glastonbury line-up?

Is a pop/country version of Glastonbury acceptable? If so, I’m going with Noah Kahan and Zach Bryan with a side of Picture This. If not, a bucket list to see for me is Elton John.

If I’m showing my true colours as an ex die hard ‘Directioner’… Niall Horan and Harry Styles wouldn’t go a miss either.

Last question! What is your fantasy dinner menu? Three courses, from different restaurants, any in the world.

As the most indecisive person on the planet this answer probably changes every hour but for now, I would say…

Starter: Buffalo chicken wings hmm… or maybe arancini.

Main: Salted chilli chips and chicken fried rice with a big ol’ pot of curry sauce.

Dessert: Finally for my mega sweet tooth, I would have my mum’s apple and blackberry crumble with ice cream… chef’s kiss.

Sounds great! We all love crumble too... hint, hint.
