×Hello, salut, cad é an craic? My name is Kasey Leigh, I’m 24 and have recently joined the Clearbox team as a junior copywriter on the editorial team.
If I had to describe myself in two words it would be certified yapper – I’ve always had a penchant for the spoken word, and have been reading and talking since I could, well, read and talk. It should come as no surprise that like many others in the office, I’m a huge bookworm and an avid consumer of media, be it film, podcasts, or brain-rotting Instagram reels.
After leaving school in 2018, my love of English and phobia of becoming a teacher led me to spend a few years stomping about Dublin City University, studying for a BA in Journalism and eventually a master’s in Public Relations and Strategic Communications.
I’ve had quite a lot of jobs for someone whose prefrontal cortex is not yet finished developing, ranging from pubs and restaurants to radio stations and PR agencies (I once did a three-week stint in IKEA but let’s not talk about that).
What attracted me to Clearbox was the job description of ‘copywriter’, and the progressive company ethos and values. I’m someone who likes to tell a good story, keep things as authentic as possible and not take myself too seriously, so the creative aspect of the job was really appealing.
In terms of music, some of my most played artists of late include Wunderhorse, Fontaines DC, Doechii and Gigi Perez. Phil Collins is also a huge guilty pleasure of mine at the moment, but that’s between me and the drum solo from In the Air Tonight.
I’ve had a grá for musical theatre since I was a child, though the pinnacle of my career in amateur drama was playing the duster in a pantomime version of Beauty and the Beast. I recently saw Les Misérables on the West End, and was absolutely blown away by the set design. Watching Javert float off that bridge with all the elegance of a prima ballerina will go down as one of the highlights of my 2025.
Insofar as work interests, I’m passionate about education, women’s health, books, arts and culture. I’ll be spending the foreseeable getting stuck in with the Clearbox team, so if you have a story you’d like to get out there, by all means get in touch! My email is kaseyleigh@clearboxcommunications.com.
Here’s to another day in paradise…
KL. :)
