The Clearbox editorial team is responsible for interviewing hundreds of people - from CEOs and directors, to engineers and community ambassadors - throughout the year. We write up the stories we hear to create compelling case studies that are used in press materials, as social media content, and for internal communications.
The editorial team is also responsible for drafting press releases and ‘thought leadership’ content (this is an industry term for hot takes on subjects in our clients’ areas of expertise). The role of an editorial team member also covers identifying potential stories for our clients based on conversations with them, what’s happening in the news, and plain old creative thinking.
Applicants should be able to write long-form and short-form content, as social media copy creation also falls under the editorial team’s responsibilities.
What will you do as a junior copywriter?
The role will see you support senior editorial team members with copywriting for press materials and social media plans.
Our editorial team is also intimately involved with the traditional PR arm of Clearbox, so we’re looking for someone interested in learning how to generate media coverage, build relationships with journalists, and manage story flows. Whilst this won’t strictly be copywriting, it’s important to have a basis of PR knowledge as a junior team member to understand the workings of Clearbox as a whole.
