We’re now into the second quarter of 2024, and we’ve wrapped up another very successful campaign for global food delivery service, Deliveroo.

Deliveroo joined us as a client last year, and it was a fantastic win for Clearbox. We were over the moon when they approached us again with the challenge of shouting about the winners of the Deliveroo Restaurant Awards 2024 throughout Ireland.

Last year, we had the pleasure of working alongside the Deliveroo team to showcase the great partnership between Deliveroo and food redistribution charity, FoodCloud. Delving into how communities in Dublin, Galway, Cork and Limerick benefited from the 500,000 free meals acquired through this collaboration, and sharing this news nationally and regionally throughout Ireland.

This year’s first campaign was a little different…2024 saw the return of Deliveroo’s Restaurant Awards, and as a group of self-proclaimed foodies, we certainly fit the bill to help out on that. The awards celebrate and recognise the very best and most-loved restaurants across the UK and Ireland. To celebrate the awards and drive brand love for Deliveroo, we supported with shouting about the award wins in Ireland and securing press coverage for the Irish award winners in Dublin, Cork and Belfast.

After the award was judged by renowned food critic and writer Jimi Famurewa, alongside Deliveroo’s CEO and Founder, Will Shu, eleven winners were selected in NI & ROI for ‘Best Cuisine’ in their respective categories. This is where we came in - we gathered our expert sell-in team and targeted national, regional, broadcast, and social media channels across the country to shout about the winners, achieving a fantastic volume of coverage across each media platform. National broadcast, national online, regional print, broadcast and online and, of course, coverage on some of Ireland’s biggest social channels, including Ladbible Ireland.

Amongst those 11 winners, the biggest accolade of ‘UK & Ireland Independent Restaurant of the Year’ was awarded to Dublin-based restaurant, Yeeros.

Yeeros is a greek restaurant, based in Dublin, that over recent years has gained quite the traction, enabling the owner, Austin, to expand his one restaurant to three throughout Dublin. With raving reviews like…

- “Best Caesar salad I’ve ever eaten hands down, almost brought me to tears..”

- “Nah lads, one of the best takeaways in town, unreaallll”

- “I love geerohs very cool and delicious, if I was in a burning building and could only save my entire family or half my jyroush, I wouldn’t save my family, that’s foe sure.”

How could you resist?!

Oh, and if you’re ever stuck for any restaurant recommendations, don’t worry, we’ve got you covered…😉
