×Zoe was both the first person to join our Absolute Beginners programme, while also being the inspiration behind its launch. She's now halfway through her apprenticeship with us, so she's been writing about what she's learned so far.

As I’m coming up to the halfway point of the Absolute Beginners programme, I thought I should shed some light on to how it’s going. (Spoiler Alert – it’s amazing!)
Within the past 6 months, I have been offered the best experience and opportunities for my future. The Clearbox team has never failed to provide support and a few tips and tricks along the way.
During my time at Clearbox, the team has made me feel welcomed and offered plenty of advice. I have shadowed the team during work and have been given the opportunity to join internal and external training sessions to get a real picture of what goes on in the world of PR.
As part of the team, I got the chance to travel to Berlin to meet colleagues from our sister company Laika. Although everybody at Clearbox works so well together, it has reinforced the bonds within the group and made me feel like I was really part of the team.
Throughout my journey of PR, I have gained so many new skills and qualities. My confidence in my writing and presentations has grown so much in the past 6 months. I have learned how to write and enjoy creating press releases which has led me to work with the press and build my media relations experience. It’s been great getting coverage for stories I have written – it really reassures me that my writing is getting better as I progress through the Absolute Beginners programme.
The best thing about the Absolute Beginners programme is that I have been treated like a regular team member which has given me the opportunity to work with clients and have my own responsibilities within Clearbox.
I would recommend the Absolute Beginners programme to anyone who is thinking about a life in the PR world. It has been great to gain so much experience and everyone in the Clearbox team has been incredibly supportive with everything that I have done so far.
